A Few Words on Massage . . .
Soothing Touch: Relaxation
Long, smooth strokes combined with beautiful warm
oils to create the blissful state you desire. What's happening underneath is
the parasympathetic nervous system alleviates inflammation and helps to
detoxify the body by nurturing the function of the lymph system. Occidental as
well as Oriental techniques can be employed to facilitate the reconnection of
energy flow and balance.
Deep Tissue
Occasionally, the deeper musculature and facial
layers are worked on to release core tension. Myofascia release
therapeutically breaks up scar tissue and reorganizes muscle structure to its
desired state of released tension. (Structure defines function.) Elbows and
deeper finger pressure are used when appropriate.
Couples Massage with

and tailor the session to your partner's specific needs.
Hot Stone Therapy
Basalt rocks deposit deep heat to traumatized areas (there are various
contraindications, which we should discuss together). As the heat is
deposited, the energy of the trauma enters the rock. Heat from the rocks
penetrates deeply into areas difficult to reach by tool or hand. Rock heat
relaxes the entire being, making tight muscles more pliable. Rock heat is a
gentle, yet intense, energy. The rock and therapist fuse energies and work
together to help the client achieve balance and harmony in their mind, body
and spirit.
"Men are born soft and supple;
dead,
they are stiff and hard.
Plants are born tender and pliant;
dead, they are brittle and dry.
Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible
is a disciple of death.
Whoever is soft and yielding
is a disciple of life.
The hard and stiff will be broken.
The soft and supple will prevail."
